The preacher at the October Evensong will be The Rev. Dr. Andrew Bennett, an ordained deacon in the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church in the Eparchy of Toronto and Eastern Canada serving at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian-Catholic Shrine in Ottawa.

Fr. Deacon Andrew is also the Director of Faith Communities at Cardus, a non-partisan, Christian think-tank in Ottawa, and a Senior Fellow at the Washington, DC-based Religious Freedom Institute. He is a leading commentator on religious freedom and the role of Christianity in Canada’s public square and a regular contributor to the Catholic Register under the byline “Ad Orientem”.

Fr. Deacon Andrew holds a Ph.D. in Politics from the University of Edinburgh as well as degrees in history from McGill (M.A.) and Dalhousie (B.A. Hons.).
