Event Series
Join us for a Public Lecture: "O knit my heart unto thee: A Spirituality Formed and Fed by the Prayer Book." The speaker will be Dr. Jesse Billett (PhD, Cambridge), Associate Professor in the Faculty of Divinity at Trinity College, University of Toronto. Dr. Billett specializes in medieval history, liturgy, and the history of Christian worship. He is an enthusiast for the Book of Common Prayer.
Join Dr. Billett as he explores what spirituality can mean, formed and fed by a four hundred year old religious text, the Book of Common Prayer. Friday, October 23, 2026 at 7:30 p.m., in the Parish Hall at St. Barnabas Church (Kent and James Street). This is a free event, but there will be an opportunity to give a free-will offering at the door. This lecture is sponsored by the Ottawa Branch of the Prayer Book Society of Canada (PBSC). The evening will conclude with sung Compline. All are very welcome to attend.
To our dedicated knitters and newbies alike, a yarn sale will be held after the high mass in the parish hall this coming Sunday, September 20. You will find a variety of yarns (wool, acrylic, or a mix thereof) in a wonderful array of colours. We look forward to seeing you there.🐑
Although not an official participant in Doors Open Ottawa, the church will be open to welcome visitors on both Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7.
Presented by the Royal Canadian College of Organists, Ottawa Centre.
Come to hear and support our organ students.
Admission is free, but donations to the RCCO Ottawa Centre Student Scholarship Fund are most welcome!
