 ice will feature the settings of the evening canticles by Godfrey Hewitt. 
 Godfrey was the Organist and Choirmaster at Christ Church Cathedral from 1
 931 to 1980, after which he held the same position at St. Barnabas until h
 is retirement in 1987. His settings of the evening canticles employ a uniq
 ue combination of Anglican chant and plainsong, a musical device of Godfre
 y's own invention. These canticle settings have been rarely, if ever, sung
  in recent decades and we are delighted to be singing Godfrey's splendid m
